   On the back cover--above the blurb? It would be in that same font, not the "logo" I "designed"...I don't think the press matters, does it? I never check for a press logo on the spine or inside, even...and this isn't a book that will be in stores, I don't think.

  The press matters. I always look to see who publishes a book. Plus, since you are a serious author publishing your own work, I think it's important to show your press.

  I like them both, but for different reasons. The second definitely draws us in and feels more confrontational, but I do like that we get a sense of place in the first. The first cover is a little nondescript with the brick wall, but I like what you're doing conceptually by cutting her face in half. the second does draw us in emotionally. I want to know this woman's story, where in the first cover, I'm not as interested in what she's looking off to.

  Two is my fav.

   I think the 2nd works better, as well. Did you have one of the model actually hiding or masking one eye?

  I do, but I shot it at a bad angle so her hand isn't fully covering the left eye...it's amateur night here in Brooklyn!

   I like the second one also. I like the way the brick almost-bisects the picture and then the edge of the book bisects the model.
