   I was able to attend this a couple of years ago and it was wonderful! The first night's reception opened with a Chinese dragon dance! The conference is not overwhelming is size so that interaction with authors, illustrators and other attendees flows easily. Then, the conference was in February. This year, they've planned it over my spring break and I chose not to give up the break.

   I don't blame you, Edi--spring break is sacred! And there's always next year...I'd like to try a conference that's not so academic...
