best way to start the day
Rhapsody In Books has posted an amazingly detailed review of A Wish After Midnight; especially interesting is her ability to draw connections between my own personality (as expressed in this blog) and the characters I create in my novel. She’s right! There’s a lot of me in Genna. What I love about Rhapsody’s reviews is the extra effort she takes to research the period in which a book is set; you get a sense of the plot, plus some background information on the era, and, of course, her overall impressions (in my case, “highly recommended”!).
There’s a lot still going on over at Justine’s blog, so if you read Neesha’s guest post but didn’t keep up with the comments–GO BACK! Whites who think they’re not privileged, blacks who think they’re better off than whites…ah, race in America. But at least folks are talking it out…
