Bloodlines

Here’s another sista who’s doin’ it for herself: sci-fi writer and publisher Veronica Henry shared this exciting news with me:

As most of you know, Eric and I ran a short story contest through our website (www.myafricandiaspora.com), during the last quarter of 2009. We have compiled the best entries from the contest (along with 1 of my previously published stories), into a short story collection entitled: “Bloodlines – Tales From The African Diaspora.”

The book is available at Amazon.com and in ebook format at Smashwords.com and on the Kindle. We would like to ask you to help us support and promote this project. Buy a copy or just help spread the word.

This anthology sounds like it’s got something for everyone, with contributors from all across the African diaspora:

The Trans-Atlantic slave trade scattered millions of Africa’s children across the globe. They are together, once again, in the pages of this short story collection. Featuring fourteen new voices from the African diaspora, these tales span the genres of literary, mystery, romance and science fiction. Through this collection, we weave another chapter into the fabric of our shared ancestry. In these twelve short stories by authors from across the African diaspora, we, the seeds of their struggle, pay homage to our ancestors.
