channeling rage

I’m not a poet, though I love to write haiku.  I don’t identify as a poet–I just call myself a writer, and it doesn’t really matter to me whether I’m writing a play, or novel, or essay.  The poems I’ve had published are really rants–something ticks me off and I just start to write.  Rage can sometimes be incoherent, but more often than not, it’s just fragmented and so writing poetry when you’re mad is a really good idea.  Doret, over at The Happy Nappy Bookseller, has had all she can stand of the marginalization of really great books by black authors.  Check out her rant/poem, and leave a comment if you think you can do something about this lack of exposure…
