ALL DAY I stayed in my apartment, waiting patiently for the first box of advance reader copies of Wish to arrive…and finally, after 6pm, the doorbell rang: it wasn’t UPS, it was the guy delivering the manuscript showing the re-designed interior of the book…and can I just say, so far, it’s GORGEOUS! I’m not a frilly, flouncy kind of girl, but the design is really elegant. Love it! My awesome editor emailed me two options for the back cover blurb, took my feedback into account, and then called to read me the final copy—love it! And then the doorbell rang again, and it *was* UPS bringing me a heavy box of beautiful books…I’m deathly afraid of doing something WRONG in this process. I’ve been so outspoken and so critical of the traditional publishing industry…I just really want this to be done RIGHT. I’ve now got several days to read through the manuscript, and I’ve got review copies to share, so if you need one…let me know!
